The children’s room reopens with a story hour

Twelve hundred books back on low shelves, and Saturday mornings have a reader again.

The children’s room opened again on Saturday with a story hour that filled every cushion and a good part of the floor. Twelve hundred books are back on shelves low enough to be reached without asking, which the librarians say is the whole point of the room.

The story hour runs every Saturday at half past ten and needs no ticket. The room keeps its old rule, printed again on a card by the door: children may take out four books at a time, and nobody is fined for a late one.
