The new tram line opens on Sunday
Eleven stops, a twelve-minute run end to end, and free travel for the first week.
The eastern tram line carries passengers from Sunday morning. Eleven stops separate the depot from the river crossing, and the operator says a full run will take twelve minutes once the timetable settles.
Travel is free for the first week. The transport office expects about nine thousand journeys a day by the end of the month, most of them transferring from the two bus routes the line replaces.
