The bridge reopens after eighteen months
Two lanes instead of four, a proper footway on both sides, and the detour signs come down on Friday.
The river bridge carries traffic again from Friday. It reopens with two lanes rather than four, and with a footway on both sides where before there was a kerb and a railing.
The detour added eleven minutes to the average crossing, measured over the whole eighteen months. The signs come down the same day.
