The laboratory opens its doors for one afternoon

The regional laboratory opened to visitors for one afternoon on Sunday and counted three hundred people through the door. Eleven microscopes were set out along the bench with prepared slides beside them, and staff answered whatever was asked for four hours without a break.

The queue had formed before the doors opened. The director says the afternoon costs a day of work and is worth it: nineteen of last year’s visitors came back to ask about the apprenticeships, and four of them are here now.
