Small workshops turn to solar power
Forty-one workshops have put panels on their roofs this year, most of them paying for the work over three years.
Forty-one workshops in the industrial quarter have fitted roof panels this year, against nine in the whole of last year. The change is mostly financial: the installers now spread the cost over three years.
A joiner on the north row says his bill has fallen by rather more than half in the summer months, and by very little in winter. That, he says, was the part nobody explained to him beforehand.
